Frozen Tissues

Collection Protocol Specifications: 

Small pieces of tissue prepared by a certified medical pathologist are snap-frozen in liquid nitrogen usually within 20 - 30 min after the surgical excision or 4 - 12 hours postmortem in autopsy cases. A standard sample weighs 0.5 - 2 g on average and is supplied in a standard cryovial. An embedding media can be added upon request.

•   Inflammation (synovial tissue, synovial fluid, matching blood, serum, plasma)
•   Neurological Diseases (postmortem brain tissue from patients with PD and AD)
