Cureline started 2010 with accepting an award from the
National Institutes of Health. Under this contract, Cureline will provide NCI's "The Cancer Genome Atlas" (TCGA) program with a wide range of clinically annotated biospecimens.
The NCI is expanding its basic and translational research programs that rely heavily on sufficient availability of high quality well annotated biospecimens from cancer patients suitable for use in genomic studies. The NCI's goal with such programs is to improve the ability to diagnose, treat, and prevent cancer. TCGA is a comprehensive and coordinated effort to accelerate our understanding of the molecular basis of cancer through the application of genome analysis technologies.
Cureline is a global biospecimen management company that collaborates with major clinical and research centers in Europe, Asia, and the US on human tissue acquisition projects. We collect, preserve and process a diverse range of human biospecimens while specializing in custom study design, tissue-based laboratory projects (
